Overview

The high school theatre program offers a structured, pre-professional training program for exceptionally talented and committed students who seek a career in the theatre through intensive practice in acting, musical theatre, playwriting, design and technical theatre.

Emphasis is placed on individual growth, discovery of personal strengths, process oriented work, and the ensemble approach to theatre.

A high level of commitment is expected from students that are trained in a concentrated, two-and-a-half-hour block each day by a staff of active theatre professionals. Courses on acting, musical theatre, voice and speech, movement, directing techniques, playwriting, dance, and scene study are offered at the standards of a college conservatory.
